This rod carrier was specifically designed for holding your rods during short rides from fishing hole to fishing hole, where disassembling and reassembling longer rods is time consuming and putting them into and out of a vehicle can cause damage. To install simply hook the clips over a side window and roll the window up to lock ROD PAL in place. Loosen the knob and slide a rod under the clamp then tighten knob back up. Repeat for second rod. Rods are held parallel with your vehicle. Take care when removing ROD PAL from your vehicle, some clips may hang up in the window channel.
